Gwen Welch is the President of Chugach Commercial Holdings, bringing over 25 years of experience in finance, operations, and portfolio leadership spanning both government and commercial sectors. She leads a diverse portfolio of operating companies across Alaska, Hawaii, and the continental United States, and as a key member of Chugach Alaska Corporation’s executive leadership team, she advances strategic objectives, drives growth, operational excellence, and shareholder value throughout the energy, industrial, and environmental services sectors. Under her leadership, Chugach Commercial Holdings has executed multiple strategic acquisitions in alignment with corporation’s comprehensive five-year strategy. Gwen ensures robust governance and performance across a complex, multi-company portfolio, spearheading strategic planning, risk, and performance management, and providing centralized finance, legal, human resources, and business development support. Guided by principles of integrity, meaningful value creation, empowerment, and community-building, she exemplifies strong, grounded leadership. A lifelong Alaskan, Gwen holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
